Abstract:
A clamp device (10) in which a plug member (42) having a tapered shaft part (40) engages with a ring member (46) having a tapered hole part (44) that is coaxial with the tapered shaft part (40) and has a shape complementary thereto, said clamp device (10) comprising, in one of said members, a coaxially fixed pull bolt (52), and in the other member: a coaxially fixed collet (56) that is capable of accommodating the pull bolt (52); a wedge sleeve (74) that has a tapered inner circumferential surface (84) on the inner circumferential side thereof, and that is fitted on the outer circumferential side of the collet (56) so as to be capable of reciprocal movement; a plurality of balls (54) that are disposed so as to be capable of radial movement in ball hole parts (68) formed in a side part of the collet (56) so as to penetrate along the radial direction, and that press the pull bolt (52) radially inward when in contact with the tapered inner circumferential surface (84) of the wedge sleeve (74); and a biasing means (92) that is provided having a spring (96) on the rear-end side of the wedge sleeve (74).
