Abstract:
A clamping system for injection molding machines, which is designed with the purpose of enabling a movable mold mounting means to be moved forward and backward speedily and carry out a powerful mold clamping operation, and reducing a total length of a mold clamping piston-cylinder mechanism. This clamping system includes the mold clamping piston-cylinder mechanism consisting of a plurality of piston-cylinder units (41, 42, 44) arranged in parallel with one another and joined at their respective piston rods (43, 45) to the single movable mold mounting means (40), and a hydraulic pressure control mechanism including a direction control valve (46) for use in selectively supplying a pressure oil to the pressure chambers in the piston-cylinder units (41, 42, 44) in accordance with the mold closing, clamping and opening operations.
