Title of the Invention : Clean Power Generation apparatus

DESCRIPTION

Field of the Invention

The present invention generally refers to a novel method to generate clean power (electrical energy). More particularly, the invention is a method of generating power without causing any pollution.

Background of the invention

Power consumption is rising phenomenally these days. The indiscriminate extraction of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, natural gas has resulted in an alarming depletion of these fossil fuels. The use of fossil fuels has resulted in severe environmental pollution and global warming.

Clean alternative sources of energy such as Wind energy, Solar energy, Hydroelectric are not available at all times. There is therefore a need for a method of generation of power without causing pollution. Most importantly, this method of power generation should be available at all times.

Objective of the invention

An object of the invention is to generate power without causing any environmental pollution.

Another object of the invention is to use the gravitational force as one of the input for the generation of power.

Yet another object of the invention is to use magnetic repulsive force obtained from permanent magnets as an additional input for power generation.

The above objects and other features and advantages of the present invention, as well as the structure and operation of various embodiments of the present invention, are described below in detail. Summary of the invention A wheel (prime mover) is mounted on a main shaft and supported by a sturdy frame. The diameter of the prime mover should be as big as possible to obtain benefit of leverage. This diameter is a function of the amount of power that is required to be generated. At the circumference of the wheel facing outside, multiple open containers are fitted. These containers are configured to hold a certain amount of material. The containers are fitted along throughout the entire circumference of the wheel as can be readily seen in the annexed drawings. On the outer circumference of the prime mover, there is a separator wall running throughout. A number of outer containers are fitted on one side of the separator wall and a number of inner containers are fitted on other side of the separator wall. The purpose of providing outer containers and inner containers is to balance the load. The shaft is in turn connected to a series of gear wheels and pinion combination to increase the speed of rotation and thereon it is connected to a planetary gear box, fly wheel and to a power generator. An elevator mechanism powered by an electric motor is provided. This elevator is configured to carry the material intended to be deposited into the containers. The deposition of the material into both the outer and inner containers happens relatively near to the top of the prime mover. The containers hold the deposited material, only during one part of the rotation of the prime mover. As the containers are not covered, the material deposited in them falls down due to gravity, when the container reaches the bottom. This falling down of material happens when the container is near the bottom of the prime mover. When the position of the container is at the bottom, the container is in inverted position causing the dropping of all its contents down due to gravity and the fallen material is collected in the down bin of the elevator. The prime mover for this invention is designed such that its diameter is a function of the power output to be generated. A higher diameter of the prime mover is crucial in providing a high leverage effect when the material is deposited in the containers, thereby providing a higher rotation force. Depending on the increased mass of the material deposited into the containers, the effect of gravitational force acting on the prime mover is increases.

Highly powerful magnets are attached to the peripheral side of the prime mover, in such a manner that all of the magnets attached to the prime mover are unipolar. Magnets with polarity opposite to the earlier attached magnets are positioned in a stand-alone manner and such that the opposite poles will face one another when the prime mover rotates. This opposing polarity of magnets provide a repelling force that further propels the prime mover in the direction of its rotation. If we assume the rotation in clockwise manner, then in the first half of the rotation from the top, deposition of material in containers is made causing the downward movement of the prime mover. During the next part of the movement of the prime mover in the upper direction, the magnetic repelling force assists in the movement of the prime mover. It is to be noted that use of magnetic repulsive force can be made all around the prime mover. The annexed drawings depict the stand-alone magnets in only one side. However, we can deploy this throughout the circumference of the prime mover. The combined effect of the gravitational force acting on the deposited material, the gravitational force acting on the liquid and stainless steel balls and the magnetic repulsive force greatly helps in continuous rotation of the prime mover by creating high torque, thereby enabling continuous clean power generation.

The combined effect of all these forces causes the wheel to rotate continuously resulting in continuous power generation. This invention discloses a method and an apparatus, to produce electrical power without causing any pollution. The elevator mechanism is provided in such a manner that the material is deposited near the top of the wheel into containers attached to the periphery of the prime mover at a desired and adjustable rate. During one half of rotation of the wheel, the containers carry the material. Upon reaching the bottom of the wheel, the position of the containers is such that the open portion of the container is pointed downwards causing the dropping of all the contents in it into a down bin of the elevator mechanism. The material collected in the down bin is again transported continuously by the elevator for deposition into the containers at the top.

The flywheel-stores the rotational energy and produces a constant rotation to enable the generator to produce the electrical power. (Note: There will be additional step up gearbox needed, if more rpm is required to run the generator and this additional gearbox is to be located between flywheel and generator).

In an embodiment of the invention, the diameter of the prime mover is 22 meters. The elevator mechanism is powered by a 40 hp electric motor. The expected power generated is at least 100 Kw output. Since the outer and inner containers are located at a longer distance from the shaft, the leverage provided by this length multiplies the effect of the material deposited in the containers. Through this manner, it is possible to increase the power generated based on the amount of material deposited and also based on the diameter of the prime mover. Further the inclusion of a sealed contraption holding liquid and small steel balls is designed in such a manner so as to utilize the gravitational force in a positive manner to augment the rotation of the prime mover. Additionally, the magnetic repulsive force provides high torque to the prime mover enabling further easy rotation of the prime mover. The sealed contraption comprises a hollow portion which is filled with a liquid partially along with small steel balls of about 2mm diameter. The design of the hollow portion is such that, the liquid is oriented more towards the outer periphery of the wheel during the first half of the rotation, which aids in the rotation of the wheel along the direction of the gravitational force due to a high leverage effect. During the other half of the rotation, when the liquid and the steel balls in the wheel are moving against the gravitational force, the liquid and steel balls are oriented towards the center of the wheel (towards the shaft) and therefore the resistance to the movement is reduced because of reduced leverage. It is to be particularly noted that this invention enables further use of the leverage effect to our benefit by aiding the rotation of the prime mover. This invention will help to generate power without any exhaust gases thereby resulting in generation of green power and thereby save the Earth from global warming.
