Abstract:
A rotary brush (1) comprising a hard base (3) mounted on the rotation shaft and a plurality of ridge-form projections (27) erected on the working surface of the base (3) with the tops of the ridge-form projections (27) rotating within approximately the same level surface to contact a portion to be cleaned, wherein the projections (27) are formed of a polyvinyl acetal porous elastomer and continuously disposed on a plurality of imaginary lines extending from inner reference points (31a) on the rotation center (35) side of the working surface to outer reference points (31b) on the outer edge side (17b) of the working surface, a lengthwise length (L1) of a projection (27) being larger than a widthwise length (D1) of a projection (27), whereby used cleaning waste containing dirt and particles scrubbed off the portion to be cleaned is guided by the projections (27) smoothly to the outer reference points (31b) to be speedily discharged out of the system.
