Abstract:
The invention relates to a semiautomatic device for securing ropes for top-rope climbing, comprising a framework or housing (2) for mounting the device on a climbing wall (1), preferably in the vicinity of the ground; a rope pulley (3), which is intended for guiding, feeding and deflecting a securing rope (4), is borne on a shaft (5), mounted in a rotatable manner on the framework/in the housing (2), and has a guide groove (6) for the securing rope (4); a self-locking differential band brake (7), of which the braking action on the shaft (5) can be regulated manually by means of an operating lever (8); and a self-locking centrifugal brake (9), of which the braking action on the shaft (5), this braking action being independent of the differential band brake (7), can be triggered automatically in dependence on the rotational speed of the shaft.
