Abstract:
The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a cloth that is particularly suitable for use in protective clothing and that has superior water pressure resistance capability while maintaining moisture permeability. This cloth comprises a layered body of a first non-woven fabric and a second non-woven fabric. The layered body has a plurality of fused sections of the first non-woven fabric and the second non-woven fabric; the partial fusion rate, which is the ratio of the total area of the fused sections to the overall area of the layered body, is 5%–50%; the average fiber diameter of synthetic fibers that form the first non-woven fabric is 0.1–1.8 μm; the average fiber diameter of synthetic fibers that form the second non-woven fabric is 5–30 μm; the maximum point peel strength between the first non-woven fabric and the second non-woven fabric is at least 0.35 N/25 mm; and the fusion rate equivalent peel strength between the first non-woven fabric and the second non-woven fabric, obtained by dividing the maximum point peel strength by the square root of a value obtained by dividing the partial fusion rate by 100, is 1.0–2.5 N.
