Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a clothing hanger capable of suppressing clothing made of a knitted material from losing its shape even when hung, and also capable of reducing the impact on the environment, and a method for manufacturing the clothing hanger. A main part 20 of a clothing hanger 1 is constituted by a cylindrical member, the cross section of which has a predetermined diameter. The cylindrical member comprises: a center part to which a hook part 10 is fixed; and a pair of shoulder-support parts formed symmetrically with respect to the center part. When the outer contour of the cylindrical member is viewed from the front, the center part and the pair of shoulder-support parts form an arc having a predetermined radius of curvature, without the center part projecting out from the shoulder-support parts. The central angle which defines the length of the arc is set to an obtuse angle. The radius of curvature of the arc is set to a predetermined radius at which the length of the arc given at the central angle takes on a length within a predetermined range that is longer than the posterior shoulder length of a piece of clothing having a predetermined size. Inside the cylindrical member, a void part is formed along the arc from the vicinity of an end part of one of the shoulder-support parts to the vicinity of an end part of the other shoulder-support part. Over the entire cylindrical member, the wall thickness above the void part is formed greater than the wall thickness below the void part. An inner wall surface defining the void part has a projecting surface that projects toward the void part in a region corresponding to the center part.
