Abstract:
Provided are a tungsten/copper/sulfur cluster compound-based composite polymer film material, a preparation method therefor, and a use thereof in third-order nonlinear optics (NLO). The chemical formula of the cluster compound is: [RWS3Cu2(La)]n(M)n, wherein the R group is a tris(3,5-dimethylpyrazole)hydroborate, a tris(pyrazole)hydroborate, or a pentamethylcyclopentadiene group; when the structural formula of the La is a perrhenate, the value of n is 4; and when M is a trifluoromethanesulfonate, the value of n is 6. The synthesis process of the cluster compound is simple and controllable, and tetrahedral and octahedral tungsten/copper/sulfur cluster compounds can be selectively synthesized by selecting different cuprous salts and belong to a good third-order NLO active species. Composite polymer films different in the number of layers can be prepared by means of a spin-coating method; the films, used as a flexible, portable and easy-to-process solid material, can be applied to the field of third-order NLO. As the number of layers of films increases, the third-order NLO responses of the films are gradually enhanced, and are 3-4 orders of magnitude higher than those of solution-based material.
