Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a cluster ion generating device, wherein the shape of discharge electrodes for releasing positive ions and negative ions are formed so as to be of the same size, the positive ion discharge electrode for generating positive ions is formed from SUS material, the negative ion discharge electrode for generating negative ions is formed from phosphor bronze material, and thus under the same output voltage, more negative ions are released than positive ions. In order to achieve this, the cluster ion generating device as configured in the present invention is equipped with a positive ion discharge electrode which generates positive ions by emitting a high voltage pulse into the air by means of an applied output voltage, a negative ion discharge electrode which generates negative ions by emitting a high voltage pulse into the air by means of an applied output voltage, and an ion generating drive circuit which applies the output voltage to the positive ion discharge electrode and the negative ion discharge electrode. Therein, the shapes of the positive ion discharge electrode and the negative ion discharge electrode are formed so as to be of the same size, the positive ion discharge electrode for generating positive ions is formed from SUS material, the negative ion discharge electrode for generating negative ions is formed from phosphor bronze material, and thus under the same output voltage, more negative ions are released than positive ions.
