Abstract:
A clutch device (100) for switching between the transmission and interruption of torque between an input shaft (12) and an output shaft (13) is provided with: an annular rotating body which has ratchet teeth; a lock member which has pawl teeth; and a drive mechanism which can drive and rotate the lock member to a locked position. The ratchet teeth and the pawl teeth include at least a pair of teeth, which consists of a first ratchet tooth and a first pawl tooth, the first ratchet tooth and the first pawl tooth coming into contact with each other when the lock member is driven and rotated by the drive mechanism to the locked position about a second rotation axis relative to the rotating body which rotates in the first direction about a first rotation axis. The lock member is configured so that the second rotation axis is located within a set region defined by the following boundary lines: the boundary line which extends from a contact section of the first ratchet tooth in the direction normal to the contact section, the contact section being a section with which the first pawl tooth comes into contact; and the boundary line which connects the contact section and the first rotation axis.
