Abstract:
Rotation of a rotating body such as a gear is restricted by a rotation restricting mechanism, and when said rotation restriction is removed, the danger of the rotating body being forcibly rotated is lessened. Specifically, this drain valve drive device 1 is provided with a first clutch mechanism 60 which allows or interrupts transmission of rotational torque from a motor 40 to a transmission gear train 50. The first clutch mechanism 60 is provided with a rotation restricting mechanism 70 that indirectly restricts rotation of a rotor pinion 51 via a first rotating body 522 that engages with the rotor pinion 51. The rotation restricting mechanism 70 is provided with a rotation restricting surface 73 provided on the first rotating body 522, and with a rotation restricting protrusion 74 which is a moving part that contacts the rotation restricting surface 73 to restrict rotation of the first rotating body 522, wherein the shape of the rotation restricting surface 73 is the shape of the arc along the movement trajectory B of the rotation restricting protrusion 74.
