Abstract:
A coal mining method applying alternately arranged long and short faces. The method comprises: arranging long and short working faces alternately in a mining region of a mine; setting a width of the short working faces (3) according to the amount of gangue produced from extraction of the long working faces (2) of the mine; first performing mining on the long working faces (2), and then conveying all of the gangue produced from mining to the short working faces (3) for backfilling; and applying a full-mining and full-filling mining method to the short working faces (3) to finally form a filled region. The method eliminates the need for moving gangue out of a mine, thereby preventing gangue discharge from damaging the environment.
