The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a coated body that simultaneously satisfies scratch resistance and excellent metallic tone and silky tone; and a coating composition for forming said coated body.　The purpose of the present invention is achieved by a coated body having at least one layer of coating film on a substrate, wherein: the coating film contains at least a binder resin and a glass pigment; the pencil hardness of the surface of the coating film is 5 H or more; and the surface roughness Ra is 3.0 μm or less. (The pencil hardness is measured according to JIS K 5600-5-4:1999 (ISO/DIS 15184:1996).)
