Abstract:
Provided are a coated paper for glossy printing having a low basis weight with high opacity and superior suitability for printing, and a method for manufacturing the coated paper for glossy printing having a low basis weight at an operating speed of at least 1300 m/minute. A coated paper for glossy printing having a low basis weight, superior anti-blistering, and high opacity can be efficiently manufactured by using a paper-making machine which has at least one gap former in the forming section and at least one tandem shoe press in the press section, and base paper having a base paper moisture content of no greater than 3% before the pigment coated layer is provided.
