Disclosed is a coated steel sheet with excellent heat dissipation which is also excellent in electrical conductivity and electromagnetic shielding performance. Such a coated steel sheet is preferably used for casings or heat dissipation plates of household electric appliances within which heat is generated. Specifically disclosed is a coated steel sheet having two or more layers of coating films formed on one side wherein the coated base is an alloyed hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (GA) and the thermal emissivity of the other side is not less than 40%. The other side of the coated steel sheet is preferably subjected to a rustproofing treatment for forming an inorganic coating or inorganic/organic composite coating, namely a chromate treatment, phosphate treatment, or treatment using silicon or silicate. An inner coating film may include one or both of titania and carbon black so that the coated steel sheet has improved heat dissipation.
