Abstract:
A coated tool according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with a substrate and a coating layer disposed on a surface of the substrate, and further with a first surface, a second surface, a third surface, and a cutting blade, wherein: the coating layer has a first layer and a second layer; the first layer contains titanium carbonitride and is positioned closer to the substrate as compared with the second layer; the second layer contains aluminum oxide; and in terms of texture coefficient Tc (hkl), which is calculated on the basis of the peaks attributed to the respective crystal planes as detected by an X-ray diffraction analysis of the third surface, texture coefficient Tc (330) is greater than texture coefficient Tc (110).
