Abstract:
The present invention particularly provides a coating device or the like capable of efficiently recovering and treating solvent gas which is generated when a coating liquid containing an organic solvent is applied on at least one surface of a web and dried, while reducing, to the extent possible, the volume of supplied air, the amount of energy input, and the amount of CO2 generated. This coating device (1A) comprises a supply roll (2), a coating means (4), a drying means (6), and a take-up roll (8), and the device is characterized in that: the drying means (6) comprises a first drying oven (10) that supplies air while drying a coating liquid film on a web (T), and a second drying oven (12) that, before drying by the first drying oven (10), supplies an inert gas while drying the coating liquid film; the first drying oven (10) has a first gas treating mechanism (14) that recovers and treats solvent gas produced from the coating liquid film; and the second drying oven (12) has a second gas treating mechanism (16) that condenses and recovers solvent gas having a higher concentration than the solvent gas recovered by the first gas treating mechanism (14) of the first drying oven (10).
