Abstract:
Disclosed is a coating system, comprising: a lower coating formed from a first coating composition, and an upper coating formed from a second coating composition including an effect pigment, the first coating composition and the second coating composition being cured simultaneously, wherein the upper coating has a dry film thickness of 3-20 μm, and a difference between foil solid contents of the lower coating and the upper coating is at least 20 wt%. Further disclosed is a coated substrate, and a method for coating a substrate. The method for coating a substrate may further comprise: coating a clear coating composition on at least a portion of the upper coating to form a clear coating layer.
