Abstract:
A code block segmentation method for an apparatus in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus using the method are provided. The method is characterized by: determining whether or not to perform code block segmentation by comparing the number (G) of coded bits to be transmitted in a transport block with the product of the ratio (Rrep) of the number of coded bits to repetitively applied and the maximum value (Nmax) of the number of coded bits of a polar code; and polar-coding one or a plurality of code blocks on the basis of whether or not the code block segmentation has been performed.
