Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to suppress tampering of the content of receipts or improve security. A code output device according to the present invention comprises: a code generation unit which encodes medium information which is managed in or externally to a medium processing device; and a code output unit which outputs code on the basis of data which is encoded by the code generation unit. A medium processing device according to the present invention comprises one or a plurality of storage cartridges and carries out a process relating to a medium stored in each of the storage cartridges, said medium processing device comprising: a code generation unit which encodes medium information which is stored in the storage cartridges of the medium processing device; and a code output unit which outputs code on the basis of data which is encoded by the code generation unit.
