Abstract:

A coding and decoding method and device, which can fully utilize spatial correlation in video information to improve compression efficiency in coding and decoding. The method comprises: determining, according to a total coding cost of a target image, a first processing sequence of multiple coding block groups comprised in the target image; coding coding block groups in the multiple coding block groups according to the first processing sequence to generate a code stream; and writing the first processing sequence into the code stream. By determining, according to a total coding cost of a target image, a first processing sequence of multiple coding block groups comprised in the target image and coding the multiple coding block groups according to the first processing sequence, spatial correlation in video information can be fully utilized so as to improve compression efficiency in coding and decoding.
