Disclosed in the present application are coding and decoding methods and a related device, which are applied to the field of coding. One method comprises: acquiring a first transport block to be coded; obtaining F sub-transport blocks according to the first transport block, the probability distribution of each preprocessing block included in any sub-transport block belonging to the same probability distribution range, and the probability distributions of the preprocessing blocks included in at least two sub-transport blocks among the F sub-transport blocks belonging to different probability distribution ranges; coding the F sub-transport blocks to obtain a second transport block, the second transport block comprising F coded sub-transport blocks, and at least two of the F coded sub-transport blocks corresponding to different code rates; and performing transmission on the basis of the second transport block. A plurality of sub-transport blocks are obtained from one TB by means of grouping and regrouping, and CBs in the same sub-transport block can be matched with the same MCS for coding and decoding operations, thus facilitating coding block alignment of transmitting and receiving ends and hardware implementation.
