Abstract:
A coding method and apparatus, and a decoding method and apparatus. The coding method comprises: a sending end acquiring a first bit sequence, then performing LDPC coding on the basis of the first bit sequence to obtain a second bit sequence, and sending the second bit sequence, wherein the first bit sequence comprises K0 information bits, the sparsity of the first bit sequence is a first sparsity, and the second bit sequence comprises K1 information bits and N1 check bits, the value of K1 being determined by means of the first sparsity, K1 being less than K0, and K1 being a non-negative integer; and correspondingly, a receiving end acquiring the second bit sequence, and then performing LDPC decoding on the second bit sequence on the basis of the first sparsity and a coding rate, so as to obtain K0 information bits. By using the method, the decoding performance of a receiving end can be effectively guaranteed.
