Abstract:
Disclosed are a nucleic acid encoding a human NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4 protein and an application thereof. The nucleotide sequence is shown in SEQ ID NO.: 1. Also disclosed is a fusion nucleic acid, comprising the nucleic acid encoding a human NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4 protein. Further disclosed is a recombinant expression vector, comprising the nucleic acid or fusion nucleic acid. Also disclosed is a transformant which introduces the nucleic acid or fusion nucleic acid into a host. The expression level of the nucleic acid encoding a human NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4 protein is higher, thus more human NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4 protein may be obtained in mitochondria, which may better treat Leber hereditary optic neuropathy.
