Abstract:
Provided is a wound coil component of an integrated structure. The coil component does not have a joining portion the reliability of which would be a concern, even with respect to an electrical element such as a spiral conductor wire or a terminal electrode, or with respect to an annular core. A coil component (1) is provided with: an integrated structure core (2), at least a part of which is a winding core part (5), that is an annular shape having a through hole (10), and that is composed of a non-conductive material; and an integrated structure coil conductor (3) that includes a spiral conductor wire (11) which is disposed so as to extend in a spiral manner around the winding core part (5), and that includes first and second terminal electrodes (12, 13) respectively formed on both ends of the spiral conductor wire (11). The coil component (1) is manufactured through a step in which the core (2), the coil conductor (3), and a shape retaining member (4) for retaining the shape of the wall surface of the core (2) which defines the through-hole (10) are three-dimensionally shaped using a 3D printer.
