Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a coil component which does not require a magnetic substrate.
[Solution] This coil component is provided with: a first magnetic resin layer 11 that is provided in a lower region 21; a second magnetic resin layer 12 that is provided in a radially inner region 22 which is surrounded by a coil pattern C, an outer circumferential region 23 which surrounds the coil pattern C, and an upper region 24; and an insulating gap layer 30 that is provided between the first magnetic resin layer 11 and the second magnetic resin layer 12. A portion of the insulating gap layer 30, which is positioned between the first magnetic resin layer 11 and the second magnetic resin layer 12 that is positioned within the radially inner region 22, is curved in the axial direction. Consequently, a magnetic substrate is not necessary according to the present invention. Since this coil component is provided with the insulating gap layer 30, the insulating gap layer 30 functions as a magnetic gap. In addition, since the insulating gap layer 30 is curved in the axial direction, the contact areas between the insulating gap layer 30 and the first and second magnetic resin layers 11, 12 are increased, thereby enhancing the adhesion therebetween.
