Abstract:
This coil has a series of turns that consists of a first turn through an nth turn (n being an integer greater than or equal to 3) in which a conductor with a quadrilateral-shaped cross-section is helically wound and layered in a vertical direction. Among the first turn through the nth turn, at least one section of the conductor is provided with a deformation section that is shaped differently from other sections. The first turn and the nth turn are located at either end section of the series of turns. Due to the deformation section, in the first turn and the nth turn, an outer surface that is located on the opposite side from the middle of the series of turns extends in a flush manner along a plane intersecting the series of turns.
