Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a coil spring manufacturing method with which it is possible to suppress variations in quality. A coil spring manufacturing method according to the present invention involves processing a base material (100) comprising a wire rod, and includes: a cold forming step (c) for subjecting the base material (100) to cold forming to fabricate a helical formed material (102); a quenching step (e) for quenching the formed material (102); and an electrically heated tempering step (f) for subjecting the formed material (103) that has been quenched to tempering by means of electrical heating.
