Abstract:
A coin metering apparatus and method thereof are provided. The apparatus comprises a plurality of coin screens (1) and a coin weighing and counting device. Each of the coin screens (1) has a plurality of sieve openings (2) with the same size aperture. The coin weighing and counting device comprises a microprocessor (7), a display module (3) electrically connected to the microprocessor (7), a key module (4), and a signal conditioning unit (5). The signal conditioning unit (5) is connected to a weighing sensor (6). When the apparatus is used, mixed coins of different denominations of the same country are put on the screen with the sieve openings with the smallest aperture. By manual shaking or mechanical vibrating, the coins of the same denomination are screened out, and put into a container. The same method is used to sequentially screen out coins with larger diameters, and the coin weighing and counting device weighs the screened coins and displays the number. The apparatus has a simple structure and a higher screening efficiency.
