Abstract:

Disclosed is a cold forging method of a shaft for an overrunning alternator decoupler. A cold forging method of a shaft for an overrunning alternator decoupler, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a first forming step of withdrawing and cutting, at a predetermined length, a coil to be formed into a shaft, which is assembled as an internal component of an alternator provided in a vehicle, and respectively and independently carrying out upsetting processing for the top surface and the bottom surface of the body of the cut coil in a sealed mold; a second forming step of performing primary forward extrusion forging for the top surface and the bottom surface of the body so as to preform an extension part to be extendedly formed outward from the bottom surface of the body and a head part to be formed on the top surface of the body; a third forming step of carrying out upsetting processing so as to preform a first groove part to be formed in the center of the top surface of the head part; a fourth forming step of performing secondary forward extrusion forging for the head part; and a fifth forming step of processing the inner circumferential surface of the first groove part into any one of a polygonal shape or a serration shape, and carrying out forging processing so as to form a protrusion part protruded outward along a partial section of a second groove part to be formed on the bottom surface of the head part.
