Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a color-reagent-containing wood preservation composition and a color-reagent solution that can be safely handled on-site, and an additional purpose of the present invention is to provide a color-reagent-containing wood preservation composition that is capable of being stored for a long period of time without having an influence on a biocide and that is capable of maintaining a biocidal effect. The color-reagent-containing wood preservation composition according to the present invention contains a biocide and at least one of an N,N-disubstituted zinc dithiocarbamate and an aromatic zinc carboxylate. The biocide is at least one substance selected from the group consisting of insecticides, fungicides, anti-mold agents, preservatives, anti-algae agents, and herbicides. It is preferable that the N,N-disubstituted zinc dithiocarbamate be zinc dibutyldithiocarbamate, zinc diethyldithiocarbamate, zinc dimethyldithiocarbamate, or zinc N-ethyl-N-phenyldithiocarbamate. It is preferable that the aromatic zinc carboxylate be zinc benzoate or zinc salicylate.
