Abstract:
A process for preparing polyamines of, for example, formula (A) includes a step (a) of treating a compound which incorporates a moiety of formula: (I) SS-NR-R-NH- with a compound which incorporates a moiety of formula: (II) -NR<1>-R-L and optionally derivatising the product of the reaction, wherein SS represents a solid support and linking means for linking the group -NR- of moiety (I) to the support, R represents a hydrogen atom or an optionally-substituted alkyl or aryl group, R<1> represents a hydrogen atom or an optionally-substituted alkyl or aryl group, R and R each independently represents an optionally-substituted alkylene or alkenylene group and L represents a leaving group and wherein A<1> is a substituent group.
