Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of vibration suppression systems, and more particularly, relates to a combined translational and rotational vibration control system for a building, comprising: a translation control unit and a rotation control unit. The translation control unit is installed at a controlled structure. The rotation control unit is installed above the translation control unit. The translation control unit mainly comprises a fixing base, a first track board, a first movable board, a second track board, and a second movable board. The rotation control unit comprises a force transmission base, a driving device, a decelerator, a force output shaft, a rotational inertia disc and a flange. The present invention can control both translational vibrations and torsional vibrations, thereby achieving vibration control. The invention can solve the problems in which a translational tuned mass damper (TMD) is unable to control rotary vibrations; a translational active mass damper (AMD) has poor control efficiency and performance; and a passive tuned rotary inertia damper has low controllability, applicability and robustness, requires complex frequency regulation techniques, and has a small range of applications.
