Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to inhibit ash and the like floating in a furnace from adhering above and below an opening that discharges after-air into a furnace. A boiler (10A) comprises a furnace (11), a burner that burns a fuel with less than the theoretically required amount of air, and an after-air supply unit that supplies after-air to the furnace (11) for burning the fuel in an unburned state after burning in the burner. The after-air supply unit comprises: a first nozzle (32) that discharges the after-air so as to go straight toward the interior of the furnace (11); a second nozzle that deflects the after-air discharged toward the interior of the furnace (11) in a direction away from the first nozzle (32) to both the left and right sides in the horizontal direction; an expanding diameter face (16) that gradually increases in diameter toward the interior of the furnace (11) and that is continuous with a front wall (15f) or a rear wall (15r) of a furnace wall (15); and a guidance member (40A) by which a portion of the after-air discharged from the interior of a casing (31) to the inside of the furnace (11) flows along the expanding diameter face (16).
