Abstract:
Commodity indication data into which a characteristic to identify its receiver is inserted is transmitted. When the commodity indication data transmitted is used fasely, the commodity indication data origin can be identified and it is possible to appropriately protect the commodity indication. The characteristic may be modified for each lot. The characteristic may be inserted into a pattern of the commodity indication so as to be recognized from the indication of the commodity. The characteristic may be an electronic watermark and may include information related to the limited number of copyings.
