Abstract:
Even when a bar code cannot be read, a label having printed information from which commodity information can be recognized rapidly and accurately is provided. And a printing apparatus for it is provided. When printing a label (L3) including a bar code, only a substantial character string (S31) corresponding to substantial commodity information is underlined among the character strings representing information contained in the bar code. Alternatively, the substantial information is printed in white or by surrounded characters. This enables a worker to easily view the substantial character string (S31) when it is necessary to ten−key input the substantial character string and eliminates a mistake in input.
