Abstract:

A commodity management system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a holding implement that has an implement communication device and holds a commodity, a user communication device that can be used by a user, a plurality of locator communication devices, and a server. In the commodity management system, the implement communication device transmits holding implement information in accordance with movement of the holding implement. Additionally, in the commodity management system, the user communication device transmits the holding implement information and user information in accordance with receipt of the holding implement information. Furthermore, in the commodity management system, the locator communication devices transmit, to the server, the holding implement information and first angle information representing the angle of each locator communication device relative to the holding implement in accordance with receipt of the holding implement information from the implement communication device. Furthermore, in the commodity management system, the locator communication devices also transmit, to the server, the holding implement information, the user information, and second angle information representing the angle of each locator communication device relative to a user in accordance with receipt of the holding implement information and the user information from the user communication device. Furthermore, in the commodity management system, the server associates the user information and the holding implement information on the basis of the first angle information and the second angle information.
