Abstract:
The present disclosure pertains to a communication device, a communication method, and a program that are configured so as to make it possible to provide higher communication quality. A retransmission detection unit: acquires message counts included in the headers of packets that have been transmitted from a transmission-side communication device via a data channel; and detects, as a retransmission candidate message count, the message counts of packets that are candidates for requesting retransmission. A retransmission request unit generates retransmission request data for requesting retransmission of packets held so as to be retransmittable by the transmission-side communication device, from among the packets having retransmission candidate message counts. This disclosure is applicable to, for example, a communication system mounted in a vehicle.
