Abstract:

The present disclosure relates to a communication device so as to be able to provide more reliable functional safety, a communication method, and a program. The communication device according to the present invention comprises: a packet generation unit for generating packets having a packet structure incorporating the MIPI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface) standard into frames defined by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 1722, which is a communication standard over networks; and a timer for acquiring timestamps stored in packet headers of the packets. The present feature can be applied to communication systems connected to vehicle-mounted cameras, for example.
