A communication device comprising: a transmission unit for transmitting a random access preamble in a side link; a reception unit for receiving a plurality of signals in a side link, each of the plurality of signals including identification information pertaining to a communication device that has received the random access preamble; and a control unit for selecting the identification information of a communication device, among the identification information of a plurality of communication devices included in the plurality of signals, with which the local device must be associated.
