Abstract:
This communication device, which supports Device-to-Device (D2D) communication, is provided with a reception cycle setting unit, a sensing period setting unit, a sensing unit, and a resource determination unit. The reception cycle setting unit sets a reception cycle constituted of a first period of maintaining a first state, and a second period of maintaining a second state in which the power consumption is lower than that of the first state. The sensing period setting unit sets an additional sensing period after a resource selection trigger which requests selection of a resource for transmitting a D2D signal when the reception cycle is set. The sensing unit performs sensing in the additional sensing period. The resource determination unit determines the resource for transmitting the D2D signal on the basis of a result of the sensing by the sensing unit.
