Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a communication management system of a surveying instrument which can quickly deal with unauthorized use such as stealing. In order to meet this purpose, this communication management system is provided with: a surveying instrument (TS) provided with a surveying unit (13), a system timer (14), a control unit (15) and a communication unit (16); a management server (MS) which can communicate with the surveying instrument; and a remote terminal (RC) which can communicate with the management server. The remote terminal configures a usable time of the surveying instrument, and configures a determination relating to the work time and the usable time of the surveying instrument, and an action in response to result of said determination, and stores these on the management server; the surveying instrument transmits the work start time and the work end time to the management server, and the management server acquires the work start time and the work end time, executes the aforementioned determination by comparing the usable time and the work time of the surveying instrument, and executes the aforementioned action on the basis of the result of this determination.
