Abstract:
Provided in embodiments of the present application are a communication method, apparatus and system, the method comprising: a terminal device receiving first information from a core network device, the first information being used to indicate whether the terminal device employs a power-saving paging discontinuous reception cycle; and according to the first information, the terminal device determining the paging discontinuous reception cycle of the terminal device. Thus, the terminal device is prevented from continuously selecting the paging discontinuous reception cycle that has the shortest cycle, such that the paging discontinuous reception cycle determined by the terminal device is more reasonable and helps the terminal device to save power.
