Abstract:
A communication method, apparatus, and system, which are used to implement supporting a network node that communicates with a terminal device by means of a PC5 interface so as to communicate and interact with a network device, thus enabling the network node to provide the terminal device with a sidelink relay service. The method comprises: receiving a first request message from a first device, the first request message being used to indicate the identifier(s) of at least one PLMN of the first device; the first device performing sidelink communication with a remote-end terminal device, and communicating with a network device by means of a network interface; and sending a first response message to the first device, the first response message being used to indicate PCI, the PCI being determined on the basis of the identifier of a first PLMN, and the identifier of the first PLMN being one or more of the identifier(s) of the at least one PLMN. In this way, the first device can be associated with a cell serving the remote-end terminal device, such that the first device carries out sidelink communication with the remote-end terminal device, and the first device communicates with the network device by means of the network interface.
