Abstract:
The present application provides a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a first device sends first information, the first information being used for indicating N moments and positional information of the first device at the N moments; and the first device obtains second information, the second information being used for indicating a correspondence between the N moments and M area identifiers, or the second information being used for indicating a correspondence between N positions and the M area identifiers. By means of the technical solutions above, the first device sends the positional information of the first device at the N moments, so that M area identifiers, corresponding to the N moments, of the first device, or M area identifiers corresponding to the N positional information can be obtained, thereby improving the efficiency of paging a terminal device in a coverage cell of the first device.
