Abstract:
Provided are a communication method and apparatus, which are used to provide a transmission scheme for an MBMS under a 5G background. The communication method provided comprises: a network side device sending, to a terminal, a correlation between an identifier of a multimedia broadcast multicast service and a transmission bandwidth for the multimedia broadcast multicast service; and the network side device sending data of the multimedia broadcast multicast service on the transmission bandwidth comprised in the correlation. Therefore, data of the multimedia broadcast multicast service can be transmitted on the transmission bandwidth comprised in the correlation.
