Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device receives a paging message from a network device, wherein the paging message is used for instructing the terminal device to receive a common early warning system message, and the paging message comprises indication information for indicating that scheduling information of the common early warning system message does not change. The terminal device may receive the common early warning system message according to previously stored window position information without repeatedly receiving the scheduling information. By adoption of the embodiments of the present application, the transmission efficiency of the common early warning system message is improved.
