Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are a communication method and apparatus, wherein same can be applied to a wireless communication system, for example, a new radio (NR) system. The method in the embodiments of the present application can be executed either by a terminal device, or by a component (for example, a processor, a chip, or a chip system, etc.) of the terminal device. The method comprises: acquiring an inactive-radio network temporary identifier (I-RNTI); and according to the I-RNTI, generating first target information and second target information, and according to the first target information and the second target information, monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). Therefore, DCI, of a terminal device, on a PDCCH can be prevented from being maliciously acquired by other terminal devices, so that the security and reliability of downlink data transmission are improved.
