Abstract:
Provided are a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a first terminal device sending a first request message, wherein the first request message does not include target user information, and the first request message includes service information which is used for requesting the establishment of a direct link; receiving a first response message from a second terminal device, and establishing a first direct link with the second terminal device according to the first response message; and the first terminal device receiving a second response message from a third terminal device. A plurality of direct links can be established with different terminal devices; a first terminal device does not need to send a plurality of first request messages to establish the plurality of direct links; and the establishment of the plurality of direct links is triggered by means of service information, thereby improving the efficiency of establishing a plurality of direct links between terminal devices, and saving on signaling overheads.
