Abstract:
Provided are a communication method and apparatus, which can solve the problem of it being impossible to perform channel estimation in multiple uplink transmissions, thereby improving the quality of channel estimation in uplink transmissions. In the method, an end time unit of a hop can be determined according to a frequency hopping parameter N from an access network device and in combination with a start time unit of the hop; and at least one time unit which can be used for sending data blocks can be determined in the hop, so as to send a data block on the at least one time unit which can be used for sending the data blocks. In other words, the at least one time unit which can be used for sending the data blocks belongs to the same hop, and has the same frequency domain resource; therefore, joint channel estimation can be performed on the at least one time unit, which can be used for sending the data blocks, in the hop, so as to improve the quality and uplink coverage capability of channel estimation, and thereby improving the reliability of uplink transmissions.
